Position Overview

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is engaged in the construction and sale of high quality homes designed for the entry-level and first time move-up markets. The Company also provides mortgage financing and title services for homebuyers. We are currently looking for a Sales Representative whose primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate DR Horton's value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customers
  • Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, then establish DR Horton as the best solution available
  • Overcome objections and close for the sale
  • Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan, options, and construction
  • Continuously source new sales opportunities
  • Create and provide management with a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships
  • Network and perform outreach to realtors
  • Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with team members
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and enhance the company’s goodwill and profit
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members
  • Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or 2 years related experience
  • Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license, and be able to drive in daytime or nighttime
  • Ability to utilize DRH Sales applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via DRH Sales applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
  • Regular exposure to outside weather conditions; the noise level is generally moderate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensing requirements vary by state
  • Prior CRM software experience
  • Previous sales experience and knowledge of the industry preferred
  • Excel in intercommunications and interactions
  • Strongly motivated
