Position Overview
Creative Information Technology Inc. (CITI) is an esteemed IT enterprise renowned for its exceptional customer service and innovation, serving both government and commercial sectors. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and operating business intelligence (BI) platforms, tools, and reports—driving data analysis, designing ETL processes, and delivering interactive dashboards and visualizations that meet stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain BI solutions, including ETL processes, dashboards, and reports.
- Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders, leading discovery sessions, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
- Develop data models and semantic-ready dimensional models (star/snowflake) to support reporting and analytics.
- Implement ETL processes to integrate data from various sources and optimize performance, cost, and reliability.
- Create and manage interactive dashboards and QuickSight analyses, including configuring role-based security and usage optimization.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and multiple teams to define KPIs, review data quality, and ensure clear metric definitions.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintain documentation such as runbooks, release notes, and style guides.
- Enforce security, compliance, and auditability measures aligned with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications: Proven experience as a BI developer or in a similar role with robust understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and BI tools.
- Experience Required: 5+ years in BI/Analytics Engineering roles with a focus on dashboarding and KPI design.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and managing Amazon QuickSight dashboards (including SPICE datasets, RLS, parameters/controls, and cost optimization).
- Strong proficiency in SQL coupled with solid knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts for analytics consumption.
- Experience in connecting QuickSight to data sources such as Athena, Redshift, S3 (Parquet/Iceberg), and HealthLake, along with operating under Lake Formation/IAM.
- Demonstrated ability to define KPIs and produce both executive and operational dashboards with clear narratives and drill paths.
- Familiarity with healthcare/public sector data requirements and privacy/security practices (HIPAA).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Education
Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution. Alternatively, three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
