IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

Position Overview

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is identified as necessary to support the mission of the US Cyber Command. The role is classified under the Professional Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure and is located in the DISA - HC/Product Management Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to senior management officials for the analysis, design, development, deployment, configuration, and evaluation of secure cloud architectures at all classification levels.
• Develop new methods and procedures to ensure that security criteria and guidance are applied effectively to cloud capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Attention to Detail – Experience reviewing IT-related work and data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with established standards.
• Customer Service – Proven record in developing and maintaining customer relationships, anticipating and addressing current and future IT needs.
• Oral Communication – Capable of briefing senior-level management and IT staff on system statuses and operations, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Problem Solving – Skilled in identifying alternatives to address unique, complex, or sensitive IT-related issues and in evaluating potential solutions.
• At least one year of qualifying experience demonstrating these competencies, including experience in providing technical guidance and secure cloud architecture expertise.
• No substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-15 grade level.
