Job Description
Position Overview
The Sr. Manager of Marketing Insights supports the Executive Director of Marketing Insights at STARZ by partnering with internal teams and agency partners to plan, measure, optimize, and evaluate the performance of upper funnel media campaigns. The role is highly visible, working cross-functionally with marketing, media, and distribution teams to deliver actionable insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently identify and provide marketing insights to support the business needs of key internal stakeholders.
- Support internal teams (e.g. Media, Distribution, Marketing) in crafting strong, data‑driven narratives aligned with company initiatives.
- Develop and analyze the performance of key marketing initiatives, defining and utilizing KPIs linked to business objectives.
- Construct methodologies and metrics to evaluate marketing strategies ensuring efficient use of upper funnel media budgets and ongoing performance optimization.
- Create and manage Tableau dashboards for internal stakeholders and senior leadership to identify key performance drivers.
- Partner closely with media agencies to identify opportunities for campaign optimization and ensure every marketing dollar is spent efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting senior leadership to meet marketing goals.
- Ability to provide deep and actionable insights on audience, creative, and marketing platforms.
- Experience in audience research to identify key behavioral, demographic, and attitudinal traits for campaign targeting.
- Proven track record partnering with media agencies to implement holistic campaign measurement across channels (Streaming, Linear TV, OOH, Digital, and Social Media).
- Familiarity with marketing mix modelling and/or multi‑touch attribution is desirable.
- Experience managing a team, including Sr. Analyst/Analyst, Marketing Insights.
- BA/BS degree (preferably in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Economics) or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years in marketing analytics, including measurement and evaluation of offline and online campaign tactics.
- Strong grasp of statistical concepts such as descriptive/inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, sample size calculations, correlations, and A/B testing.
- At least 5+ years working with data visualization tools (preferably Tableau).
- Proficiency in data structures, query languages, and methodologies to maximize dataset value; programming experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and ETL.
- Excellent communication skills to distill and relay data insights to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Deep understanding of optimization processes (e.g. A/B testing) and experimental design.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects independently with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in statistical model building/machine learning and in the television industry is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (strong analytical skills, pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint for high‑quality data visualizations (Adobe experience is a plus).

Compensation
$120,000-$140,000
