Position Overview
At Cubic Transportation Systems, part of Cubic, you join a company dedicated to creating and delivering technology solutions that simplify daily transportation and enhance defense capabilities. As the Chief Systems Engineer (CSE), Principal Systems Engineering, you will serve as the sole engineering authority for assigned programs. In this role, you leverage expertise across multiple specialized disciplines to lead complex systems engineering initiatives, drive technical direction, and provide thought leadership. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will coordinate cross‐functional projects and contribute to innovative solutions that advance company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical baseline for requirements, architecture, and design.
- Direct design concepts, study, and evaluate change decisions to meet technical objectives.
- Establish, track, monitor, and report System Engineering Leading Indicators.
- Execute sole technical decision authority on a program through the system lifecycle.
- Chair internal reviews ahead of major milestone reviews and act as the Engineering approval stakeholder for major milestones.
- Lead the application of advanced engineering principles, procedures, and techniques for electronic and software-intensive systems engineering tasks across programs.
- Serve as the primary technical consultant, guiding program teams on the most suitable technical approaches and solutions for complex challenges.
- Exercise independent judgment in evaluating advanced technical methods, techniques, and data to resolve significant and unique issues.
- Direct the application of existing principles while contributing to the development of new policies and ideas, leveraging cross-disciplinary expertise.
- Drive the development and application of innovative solutions that support company objectives and strategic goals.

- Compensation: $150,100.00 - $206,000.00* + benefits
