Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, US. This role is pivotal in optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from oil and gas reservoirs through advanced engineering analysis and strategic planning. You will conduct reservoir characterization, develop production forecasts, and design optimal development strategies, including enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow in porous media, and subsurface geological formations. You will utilize sophisticated simulation software to model reservoir performance, evaluate drilling and completion options, and manage reservoir uncertainties. Responsibilities include analyzing production data, identifying opportunities for incremental recovery, and collaborating closely with geoscientists, production engineers, and management. This position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven experience in reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE).
  • Strong understanding of production engineering and wellbore hydraulics.
  • Experience with EOR methods and economic evaluation of projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and influence stakeholders.
