Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to discover, scope, and deliver solutions for FMX's most strategic accounts. In this role, you will uncover the use cases behind customer requests, clarify requirements, and turn them into actionable plans. You’ll work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Project Management, Design, and Engineering to ensure timely delivery and launch of new functionality. FMX is a fast-growing, cloud-based SaaS company headquartered in Columbus, OH, serving markets including education, property management, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on key accounts and integrations.
- Maintain a clear, prioritized list of key account needs for product enhancements and integrations.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and key customers to gather, clarify, and refine requirements.
- Translate customer needs into structured solutions by documenting assumptions, constraints, data flows, and requirements.
- Support integration scoping by collaborating with Engineering to understand APIs, data mappings, and system behaviors.
- Work with Engineering and Project Management to break scoped work into small, testable increments and align timelines.
- Track deadlines and commitments, proactively escalating risks and keeping stakeholders informed.
- Ask probing questions to uncover root problems and reframe customer requests into clear problem statements.
- Identify quick-win approaches using existing FMX capabilities and flag when product changes are necessary.
- Propose strategic product changes that benefit multiple key accounts and create internal documentation, playbooks, and templates to support scalable solutions.
- Assist in pre-sales conversations by clarifying what is possible, ensuring realistic expectations regarding product changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer or stakeholder-facing roles to effectively scope projects, clarify requirements, and deliver commitments.
- Strong communication skills with a professional poise to build rapport with customers and confidently represent the brand.
- A deep curiosity to investigate the "why" behind customer requests and transform feedback into well-defined problem statements.
- Technical familiarity with APIs and data structures to understand complex integrations.
- Proficiency with modern productivity tools and AI to streamline workflows and enhance communication.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to balance multiple customer commitments and deliver within deadlines.
- Creativity in utilizing existing platform configurations prior to pursuing new development avenues.
- Meticulous attention to detail in documenting requirements, assumptions, edge cases, and success metrics.

Compensation
- This position offers a base salary along with a Company Performance Bonus.
- Salary range is expected to be $80,000–$100,000.

Note: The hiring process includes applying via the Workable portal, a phone screen with People Ops, hiring manager and panel interviews, and a take-home assessment. Candidates may work remotely from anywhere in the US; however, new hires are expected to work onsite at our Columbus, OH office during their first week for onboarding.
