Position Overview
Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is dedicated to building innovative tools and services for small and medium-sized businesses. The Lending Data Science team is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead data science and analytics for the Lending Product—a strategic growth initiative that leverages Intuit’s rich customer data to deliver personalized loan offers and streamline the application process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize business opportunities, formulate hypotheses, define goals and key metrics, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Drive strategic insights to shape the future of Intuit’s Lending Marketplace, positively impacting millions of small and medium-sized businesses.
- Develop predictive models, conduct experiments beyond A/B testing, and uncover customer insights to drive product, marketing, and lending innovations.
- Create durable customer segmentation strategies to enhance targeting, positioning, and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Design to guide product strategy.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- A curious, proactive data scientist with a passion for fintech.
- 4-8 years of experience in data science and analytics in the fintech sector, ideally in lending, credit cards, or marketplaces.
- Proven ability to form hypotheses and identify business opportunities based on customer behavior, industry trends, and market conditions.
- Demonstrated success in designing and interpreting complex experiments beyond traditional A/B testing.
- Strong expertise in predictive modeling, customer segmentation, and experimentation design.
- Experience in building scalable, reusable analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills across business and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- BS or MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, or a related field.
- Advanced SQL proficiency with hands-on experience in visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and strong analytical skills using Python or R.
- Experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques to solve go-to-market and product challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience addressing growth challenges at fintech companies focused on lending, credit cards, or marketplaces serving consumers or SMBs.
- Understanding of lending product nuances and a mix of product and marketing data science or analytics experience.
- Experience scaling multi-sided marketplace companies.
- Familiarity with Generative AI and other emerging technologies.

- Base Pay Range:Bay Area, California: $159,500 - $215,500; Southern California: $149,500 - $202,500.
