Commercial Driver - Class A CDL OTR & Local (2 Openings)

With over 80 years of success delivering vital petroleum products and environmental services, we are seeking a Commercial Driver with a CLASS A CDL for a full-time position in Bakersfield. Shift options include late mornings or day shifts, with start times varying between 12PM and 3PM. Please note that any employment offer is contingent upon passing a controlled substances test per our Drug & Alcohol policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates commercial motor vehicle and associated equipment safely.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complies with all statutory, regulatory requirements, and company policy.
• Completes paperwork and forms, including manifest, shipping, and receiving documents.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with the supervisor throughout the shift.
• Loads and unloads truck, which may include hazardous waste and/or materials.
• Communicates effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
• Uses sound judgment in both emergency and routine situations.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Commercial Class A Driver's License with Hazmat, TSA, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements.
• At least 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBS.
• Experience with both Manual and Automatic transmissions.
• Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday and to travel both locally and over the road (OTR 2-3 days per week).

Preferred Qualifications

• Crude and asphalt experience is a plus.
