React JS - Lead Software Engineer

Position Overview

The Lead Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements and works on problems of diverse scope—from moderate to substantial—in order to drive digital transformation for Humana.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform Humana into a consumer-focused healthcare leader using modern software technology.
• Collaborate with key client stakeholders to define business problems and determine solution requirements for Medicare/Medicaid platforms.
• Architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new software features and products.
• Engage in full-cycle software development including front-end, back-end, database integrations, and network management.
• Influence department strategy and make technical decisions with minimal direction.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience using React JS, Redux, ES6, and responsive web design.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience as a senior developer in large projects.
• 2+ years of project leadership experience.
• Highly proficient in JavaScript.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, CI/CD, TDD, and automated build processes.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Next JS.
• Master's Degree.
• Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies.
• Experience in leading teams with an onsite-offshore model.
