Job Description

Position Overview

Guild Mortgage Company – closing loans and opening doors since 1960 – is a dedicated mortgage banking firm committed to providing affordable home financing with unmatched professionalism and service. In this role, you will review files for adherence to underwriting standards, ensure completeness of loan submissions, and serve as a liaison between borrowers, mortgage brokers, origination staff, and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track key dates of transaction
  • Maintain customer contact to ensure follow-up of loan applications
  • Manage client and referral partner databases
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding loan application and locked status
  • Resolve file problems, bottlenecks, and qualifying issues during production and underwriting
  • Provide administrative support by collecting and preparing loan applications with supporting documentation
  • Coordinate, create, track, and distribute marketing materials
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, keeping them informed throughout the process
  • Obtain an accurate and thorough 1003 and analyze the customer’s credit and financial scenario
  • Price a profitable loan, communicate fees, quote rates, and manage rate-lock commitments
  • Disclose initial 1003 and related documents in compliance with regulations
  • Collect supporting documentation and discuss product features with customers
  • Submit a viable loan application to processing and review HUD-1 to verify fees and cash at closing
  • Market to referral sources to generate leads and foster loan production
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by Guild Mortgage Company or the Managing Loan Officer

Required Qualifications

  • Active MLO Licensing Required
  • Experience levels: LOA Level 1 – 2 to 5 years; LOA Level 2 – 5+ years
