Cyber Sustainment Analyst - Full-time

Position Overview

In this role, you will support the development of cyberspace security strategies and plans for the MDA while enabling Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) activities. You will develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures for advanced cybersecurity tools and inspections, and drive process improvements to ensure compliance with government requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development of cyberspace security strategies and plans for the MDA
• Enable DCO/CSSP operations and personnel through documentation, administrative functions, and advocacy
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures and policies to facilitate CSSP capabilities
• Manage the indexing, cataloging, storage, and access of organizational knowledge (hard copy/digital files)
• Develop and review a variety of technical documentation including briefings, SOPs, incident response guidelines, white papers, technical manuals, and step-by-step procedures for advanced cybersecurity tools
• Organize and retain artifacts for cybersecurity inspections and audits
• Recommend actions to improve existing processes and streamline implementation
• Provide analytical insights and product management support to translate customer needs into actionable requirements
• Communicate effectively and negotiate complex issues while drafting comprehensive policies and procedures
• Prepare and present briefings, reports, and informational analyses in support of the MDA CSSP
• Perform records management of sustainment deliverables and maintain compliance trackers
• Ensure adherence to Government policies and schedules while developing solutions to program challenges
• Assist in developing cybersecurity policies and detailed procedures for advanced tools
• Support and enhance cybersecurity testing processes and procedures through feedback and implementation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in cybersecurity documentation and processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Education/Training:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
  • Must have, or obtain within 3 months of the start date, a current IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE)
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of full-time work experience (experience may be reduced with advanced education)
  • 1+ year of directly related cyber experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
  • Demonstrated technical writing experience, especially in drafting cybersecurity-related documents
  • Familiarity with Security Operations Centers (SOC)/DoD and DCO/CSSP security policies and procedures
• Security:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance
  • Willing and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
• Physical Requirements:
  • Occasionally able to reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use while sitting or standing
  • Adhere to safety protocols in work areas requiring PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Compensation: $42.30 - $45.19/hr. Salary rates are competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards.
