Job Description
Position Overview
As the Designer at Quext, you will own the visual identity of our brand, ensuring a cohesive and cutting-edge look across all marketing efforts. You will work on a wide range of marketing design projects—from digital and print collateral to ads, websites, and tradeshow booths. We prefer candidates located in Kansas City, Missouri or Lubbock, Texas, but we are open to considering remote applicants for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Ownership: Own the visual identity of Quext and ensure consistency across all marketing channels, including print, digital, and event collateral.
- Marketing Design: Create digital ads, social media assets, email templates, website graphics, and print materials such as brochures and tradeshow booths.
- Website Design: Design and update website assets (WordPress knowledge preferred) to deliver a clean, user-friendly experience.
- Design Tools Mastery: Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to manage design work from concept to completion.
- Brand Guidelines Development: Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines covering logos, colors, fonts, and overall visual style.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated with modern design trends, typography, and technology to keep Quext's visuals innovative.
- Collaboration & Brainstorming: Work closely with the marketing team to generate creative ideas and iterate designs based on feedback.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with the product UI/UX team to ensure a cohesive visual identity across marketing and product materials.
- Self-Management: Independently manage projects, timelines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Rationale & Communication: Clearly articulate your design decisions and explain how they align with brand goals.
- Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of design projects, from initial briefing to final delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
- Experience designing for digital, print, website, and event collateral.
- A strong portfolio showcasing modern design sensibilities and brand-building experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in graphic design, particularly in marketing design.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain design decisions.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
