Position Overview
Are you a creative person who loves a challenge? Oracle is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Engineer to join our new Oracle Health organization. In this entrepreneurial and energetic role, you’ll help build a world‐class engineering center focused on product deployment, sustainability, troubleshooting, and innovative product strategy. As a Site Reliability DevOps Engineer, you will define and deploy key services ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability for our cloud-based products.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the architecture, analysis, design, implementation, and production operations of Core System Framework solutions.
- React to production deficiencies by continuously implementing automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring.
- Contribute to the development of platform services including provisioning, configuration, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with a distributed team to prototype new platform services and incorporate innovative solutions.
- Solve complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and build automation to prevent recurrence.
- Design, write, and deploy software that improves the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.
- Develop architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems and facilitate capacity planning.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Site Reliability or DevOps Engineer.
- Ability to acquire and maintain a federal security clearance (US citizenship required).
- Experience developing/operating large-scale distributed services or applications.
- Proficiency in container administration and development using Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos, or similar technologies.
- Expertise in infrastructure automation with tools like Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or Packer.
- Experience with Cloud Orchestration frameworks and supporting CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Gitlab Runners, Jenkins, Rundeck).
- Ability to support production, test, and development environments in medium to large user settings.
- Experience developing scripts for automating software deployments using PowerShell or Bash.
- Working knowledge of cloud compute technologies, network monitoring, data processing, and analytics.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language (Java, Python, or C++ or equivalent).
- Experience with fault-tolerant, highly available, high-throughput, and scalable systems.
- Hands-on experience operating services in major Clouds such as AWS, OCI, or Azure.
