The Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for performing warehouse system activities that ensure the accurate documentation of inbound and outbound goods, including finished goods, raw materials, and deposit items. Effective management of inbound and outbound flows through proper dock management and resource allocation is central to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the movement of goods and inventory using an automated warehouse system to process inbound and outbound loads.
- Completing and refining warehouse systems reports covering inbound/outbound schedules, dock management, stock availability, and yard upkeep.
- Engaging with warehouse management, cross-functional teams, and external business partners to optimize shipment accuracy, delivery scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Providing clear, concise, and timely reports to management, highlighting issues or areas of concern.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace and constructing pallets as required.
- Taking on additional assignments as needed to support warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of warehouse processes and systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment, including carrying or lifting objects up to 30 pounds repeatedly and bearing loads up to 75 pounds.
- Excellent coordination and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying job demands while adhering to job specifications.
- Proficiency in following computer screen instructions and ensuring accurate package identification.
- Capability to work in an environment that is noisy with extreme temperatures.
- A proactive approach with the enthusiasm to embrace new challenges.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience Required: 1-3 years of work experience.
- Certification for the operation of a Pallet Jack (Powered Industrial Truck), obtainable within the first month of employment.
