In this role, you will contribute to our enterprise-wide digital transformation while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with professionals across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve complex technical issues with limited supervision.
  • Mechanical design and packaging of special test equipment (STE) antenna, RF, digital, infrastructure, and test hardware products, including avionics modules, racks, and interface test adapters.
  • Perform thermal and structural analyses as required.
  • Support electrical-mechanical tradeoffs and physical verification and qualification testing for new designs.
  • Mentor and lead junior electromechanical engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a closely related STEM field with a minimum of 12 years related experience; or 10 years with a Master’s (MS) degree; or 9 years with a PhD.
  • CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI required at the time of application.
  • Experience with electronics packaging design, including STE design, CAD modeling, and thermal/structural analysis methods.
  • Proficiency in relevant CAD software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design to a hardware requirements specification.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical design principles and techniques.
  • Proven success working independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hardware Lead experience managing a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical and electrical engineers.
  • CAM/EVMS Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading preliminary/critical design reviews for mechanical and electrical designs.
  • Familiarity with Global Supply Chain (GSC) processes.
  • Experience with proposal leadership and BOE writing.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Primary Level Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00
  • Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses based on individual contributions and company performance.
