Position Overview

The Resales Specialist (Retail Sales Associate) is a key sales position in our retail stores at The RealReal. As a Resales Specialist, you are goal-oriented and driven to achieve and exceed sales goals. You're client-obsessed, adaptable to change in a “startup” environment, and passionate about sustainable luxury fashion. If you are a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven team environment, this could be the perfect match! Full time positions require a commitment of 40 hours per week, while part time positions require 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through client engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  • Provide a high level of service while managing multiple customer journeys simultaneously.
  • Educate clients on The RealReal’s mission of sustainable fashion and business structure.
  • Build brand loyalty by delivering a best-in-class customer experience and outreach daily to existing customers.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, store tasks such as replenishing supplies and merchandise, and maintaining brand standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in retail sales.
  • A positive, friendly demeanor with the ability to represent The RealReal brand with integrity and professionalism.
  • Genuine passion and enthusiasm for delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Proven ability to excel in a metrics-based sales environment.
  • Self-motivation and a drive to achieve results.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and openness to change, with receptiveness to feedback.
  • Capability to quickly learn and master new technological tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous luxury/consignment retail experience.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Salesforce.
  • Experience using the Mac iOS operating system.

  • PART TIME BENEFITS: Base Pay PLUS uncapped bonus ($250/month bonus at target), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and 9 Paid Time Off (PTO) Days with 10 Paid Holidays.
  • Hourly Rate & Compensation: The expected hourly rate for this role is $20.84-$23.30. Starting pay is determined based on primary work location, candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity. Additional incentives may include bonus programs and incentive pay as part of TRR’s total rewards package.
