Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing and communications professionals.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director, Business Development and Marketing, firm leadership, and other teams to support firmwide initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and consultants to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the marketing function.
- Develop and execute a firmwide marketing and brand strategy aligned with long-term business objectives and growth priorities.
- Serve as the steward of the firm’s brand, ensuring consistency, clarity, and differentiation across all touchpoints.
- Advise firm leadership on brand, reputation management, media strategy, and market positioning.
- Translate firm strategy into clear, market-facing positioning that resonates with clients, prospects, and stakeholders.
- Partner with practice groups and industry teams to develop targeted marketing initiatives that support client development and cross-selling efforts.
- Lead the firm’s external communications strategy including messaging, content development, and editorial planning.
- Oversee media relations, public relations, awards submissions, and crisis communications in collaboration with external agencies.
- Elevate the firm’s thought leadership by identifying opportunities for digital, print, speaking, and media engagement.
- Guide the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives including website content, social media, email campaigns, and multimedia storytelling.
- Utilize data and analytics to measure effectiveness, refine strategies, and improve engagement across channels.
- Oversee content governance to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with brand standards.
- Collaborate with attorneys, firm leadership, business development, and operations to align communications and marketing strategies across offices and practices.
- Act as a connector and consensus-builder, balancing strategic vision with practical execution in a complex organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic communications, marketing, brand, or related roles, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Must live within a commutable distance to the firm office with the ability to work on-site 3-4 days per week.
- Proven success in leading and managing teams, including developing senior talent and managing managers.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate firm objectives into integrated communications and marketing initiatives.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with sound judgment and discretion.
- Experience managing complex projects, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
The target annual salary range for this role is currently $240,000 - $280,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus. The final offer will be determined based on experience, qualifications, market data, and internal equity.
