Position Overview
Our client, a world-renowned automotive manufacturer headquartered in Location: Detroit, Michigan, is offering an exceptional opportunity for driven and passionate individuals to join their esteemed engineering department as an Entry-Level Automotive Engineering Intern. This foundational role is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge automotive technologies and processes. You will work alongside seasoned engineers, contributing to various stages of vehicle development – from design conceptualization and simulation to testing and validation. The position offers a Schedule: Hybrid (in-office and remote) work environment that fosters collaboration and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the design and development of automotive components and systems using CAD software.
- Participating in the creation and execution of testing procedures for new vehicle prototypes and components.
- Analyzing test data and generating reports to document findings and recommendations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Supporting engineers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during development.
- Conducting research on emerging automotive technologies and their potential applications.
- Documenting engineering processes, procedures, and test results accurately.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
- Gaining practical experience in areas such as powertrain, chassis, electrical systems, or vehicle dynamics.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated passion for the automotive industry with a strong academic record.
- Familiarity with automotive systems and basic engineering principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
