RN - Behavioral Health FT Days 7am-7pm

Position Overview

Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health. Schedule: FT Days 7am-7pm w/ rotating weekends. Experience Required: No New Grads at this time. Humboldt Park Health is a growth-driven health care provider with a focus on advancing health equity. We currently have openings for behavioral health nurses. Key Responsibilities

• Plans, provides, supervises and documents professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Charts observations and activities related to patient care in the electronic health record.
• Provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, infection control and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
• Collects blood specimens by venipuncture or micro techniques for laboratory analysis necessary for patient treatment and diagnosis.
• Operates equipment needed to perform department-specific duties.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license required (No New Grads at this time).
• Proven experience in providing behavioral health care and managing patient care in a clinical setting.
