Our global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) powerhouse in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Vice President of Trade Marketing & Category Management. In this high-impact executive role, you will accelerate growth, optimize category performance, and strengthen retailer partnerships by shaping strategic trade programs and elevating brand visibility. Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Develop and execute trade marketing strategies that drive retail activation, in‐store visibility, and ROI.
- Responsibilities: Leverage consumer insights and market data to optimize category performance and product placement.
- Responsibilities: Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market and shopper trends to increase revenue and market share.
- Responsibilities: Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure effective trade program execution.
- Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, acting as the primary liaison and category advisor.
- Responsibilities: Utilize syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, etc.) and shopper analytics to measure performance and refine strategies.
- Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Responsibilities: Oversee trade spending, budgeting, and financial oversight to ensure cost efficiency and maximum return on investment.
- Responsibilities: Optimize operational processes and reporting structures to enhance speed-to-market and retail execution.
- Responsibilities: Partner with brand marketing to create shopper-focused programs that reinforce brand equity at the point of sale.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in CPG trade marketing and category management with a proven track record in driving category growth and retail activation.
- Expertise in leveraging syndicated data platforms (IRI, Nielsen) and retail analytics to support strategic decision making.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical skills, and the ability to translate consumer insights into actionable trade programs.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills with experience working alongside Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience working with national retailers and in joint business planning initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic, competitive environment.
- Proven success in transforming complex data into measurable business outcomes.
Benefits & Perks
- Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 per year (base salary, depending on experience and company size)
- Compensation: Total compensation potential of $275,000 to $600,000+ annually when including performance-based bonuses and long-term incentives
