Position Overview
This role offers the opportunity to work and lead within a project team environment to design, modify, and upgrade power plant electrical systems. Under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to produce detailed electrical physical drawings, review vendor designs, and assist during field walkdowns. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work within a project team to design, modify, and upgrade power plant electrical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop cable schedules, grounding layouts, conduit routing, and junction box support designs.
- Produce electrical physical drawings and integrate vendor drawings into overall project designs.
- Accompany and assist in field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
- 10+ years of detailed physical design experience developing grounding layouts, underground duct bank and embedded conduit drawings, cable tray and exposed conduit layouts, and electrical equipment location drawings.
- Experience reviewing electrical physical layout drawings and assisting engineers with initial design requirements.
- Extensive experience using Microstation and/or AutoCAD on power plant or large facility projects.
- A thorough understanding of drafting and design practices with the ability to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
