Business Analyst-Foreign Exchange Settlements

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst II to join the Client Operations team in Baltimore, MD (Harbor Point). In this role focused on Foreign Exchange (FX) Settlements, you will serve as a vital intermediary between our Sales team and global clients to ensure the seamless execution of the FX trade lifecycle. This position is Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote), and offers a competitive compensation of $21.34/hour as a Full-Time Contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage operations processes within the FX product line, supporting both daily workflows and specific project efforts.
• Analyze complex or ambiguous settlement issues, identify root causes, and propose strategic actions to prevent recurrence.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with business unit partners, internal departments, and external client contacts.
• Identify and implement control measures to create strong and flexible workflows while reducing risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and complete mandatory compliance courses on time.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is strictly required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven analytical thinking with the ability to diagnose workflow inefficiencies and implement mitigating controls.
• Excellent communication skills, with clear escalation techniques and the ability to explain complex settlement data.
• General awareness of regulatory environments and market impact on business operations.
