Job Description
Position Overview
This role supports Loan Originators in processing residential mortgage loan applications while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines. The candidate will assist consumers in identifying proper residential mortgage loan products, utilize essential technologies, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept assignments with an individual or team of Loan Originators.
- Complete residential mortgage loan applications within the assignment.
- Assist consumers in identifying proper residential mortgage loan products.
- Advertise and communicate loan origination services to the general public.
- Complete all required internal continuing education courses on time.
- Exercise proficiency with all technology platforms including Encompass, Compensafe, FCM Knowledge Center, AUS systems, and BAI Learning.
- Represent FCM ethically and professionally while providing superior customer service and exemplifying FCM as the lender of choice.
- Uphold all internal and regulatory compliance guidelines as outlined in the FCM Knowledge Center.
- Attend all required staff meetings and report hours of work to management as scheduled.
- Complete mandatory new employee orientation and maintain NMLS registration requirements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
- High School Diploma or GED is required; 1-3 years’ experience in the mortgage industry is preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information, both orally and in writing.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word, including email communication.
- Capable of using a calculator to compute figures such as interest, commissions, percentages, and discounts.
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on 100% accuracy.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to keep records neat and organized.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage unexpected events.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
