Position Overview

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Specialist to support our growing organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Address colleague concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace environment. Escalate matters when issues become highly complex or involve legal considerations.
  • Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Compensation: Provide support on compensation-related activities, including explaining compensation practices to employees and supervisors and assisting with market benchmarking to support job development and hiring decisions.
  • Policy Development: Create and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate training programs for employee development and performance improvement.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Audit and Reconciliation: Support and perform related functions across HR departments.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as needed and assist in managing and delivering HR projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in HR or a related field, with an emphasis on recruitment and employee relations.
  • Experience with Paylocity or other HRIS platforms.
