Job Description
Position Overview
The Help Desk Support role is responsible for providing technical assistance to internal users regarding software, hardware, and network connectivity issues. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, assist with smartphone and mobile device connectivity, and maintain the firm’s hardware inventory. This is a Contract position based in Minneapolis, MN at an Entry Level. Application Deadline: Jan 15, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Help Desk support as the primary contact for internal users experiencing technical issues with software, hardware, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and assist callers in resolving systems, software, hardware, and procedural problems while ensuring timely tracking and resolution.
- Maintain a ticketing system with detailed documentation and analyze ticket history to identify underlying trends.
- Assist in the setup of audiovisual equipment in conference rooms and support email account configurations on smartphones.
- Set up user workstations, install and configure PCs, thin clients, and scanners; diagnose and resolve hardware faults.
- Maintain and update the firm’s hardware inventory database, including management of the hardware check-out pool.
- Create and maintain detailed instructional documentation for all processes performed.
Required Qualifications
- Troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in Windows support and Windows 10
- Experience with Outlook and ticketing systems
- Customer service orientation with technical support experience
- Help Desk support expertise and desktop support skills
