Position Overview
Our Client, a Financial company, is seeking a SBL Underwriter for a Remote location. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and processing security‐based loan applications, verifying customer identity, coordinating with loan analysts, and signing‐off on loans. You will play an integral part in facilitating loans backed by securities, ensuring due diligence and adherence to established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review loan applications submitted for security-based lending and verify customer identity details (Address, DOB, Name, Social Security, etc.).
- Collaborate with loan analysts who pull credit, create client files, and ensure all necessary documents are in order.
- Evaluate securities provided as collateral to support the loan application.
- Enter the security loan data into an Excel report and maintain accurate records for each client.
- Sign-off on the loan application once all documentation has been thoroughly reviewed and verified.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2+ years of mortgage underwriting experience.
- At least 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience.
- Proven experience managing a loan pipeline of 30+ loans at any given time.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear, professional presentation.
- Customer service oriented with an ability to work as a team player.
- Highly organized; capable of managing deadlines and maintaining high attention to detail.
- Prior experience with securities and/or security-based loans.
- Adequate technical skills to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- High School Diploma required.
