Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician / Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Candidates should be detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type:
Full-time.Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour.Work Location: In person.Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics using scan tools and other testing equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.)
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Communicate findings and repairs clearly with service advisors or customers
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used
- Follow all safety and cleanliness procedures in the shop
- Stay up-to-date on manufacturer service bulletins and recalls
- Keep tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Road test vehicles after service to ensure proper operation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience (more for advanced roles)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair software
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Certification(s) (A1-A8, L1, etc.)
- EPA 609 certification for A/C service
