As we continue to expand and pursue new long-term contracts, we are seeking an Account Manager with a strong recruiting background who can manage government accounts while also leading talent acquisition efforts for public sector engagements.
We are also open to experienced IT recruiters who have developed strong account management and client relationship skills and are interested in growing into an account management role.
Role Overview
This role combines Public Sector Account Management with IT Recruiting Leadership.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable building and managing relationships with government clients while also driving recruiting efforts to support ongoing contracts and new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Manage, nurture, and grow relationships with State of Texas agencies, cities, counties, and selected enterprise clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned government accounts.
- Develop a strong understanding of agency systems, enterprise applications, procurement processes, and mission-critical programs.
- Conduct regular in-person client visits to strengthen long-term relationships.
- Attend and represent Esolvit at client meetings, industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows in Austin.
- Identify new business opportunities, upcoming RFOs, and potential contract vehicles.
- Collaborate closely with leadership and delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Recruiting & Talent Management
- Lead full-cycle IT recruiting efforts supporting government and public sector contracts.
- Source, screen, and evaluate high-quality candidates aligned with public sector requirements.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of IT professionals for state agency engagements.
- Manage relationships with consultants, vendors, and subcontracting partners.
- Ensure compliance with Texas state contract documentation and submission requirements.
- Support proposal and contract staffing needs by aligning talent pipelines with upcoming opportunities.
- For candidates with a stronger recruiting background, ownership of recruiting for specific accounts may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be based in Austin, Texas.
- Experience working with Texas state agencies, public sector clients, or government contracting environments.
- Strong background in IT recruiting, preferably supporting government or enterprise projects.
- Experience in account management, client relationship management, or client-facing recruiting roles.
- Understanding of enterprise IT systems, applications, and large-scale environments.
- Ability to attend in-person meetings, conferences, trade shows, and agency events.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, organized, and growth-oriented with a proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with DIR contracts or Texas public sector procurement processes.
- Familiarity with criminal justice systems, higher education environments, or statewide modernization programs.
- Strong network of IT consultants and vendors within the Texas market.
