Job Description

Position Overview

The Logistics Technician is responsible for performing warehouse system activities to ensure accurate accounting of inbound and outbound goods—including finished goods, raw materials, and deposit items. The role also involves meticulously completing logs, records, and reports, while maintaining communication with warehouse management, various departments, and business partners.

Compensation: This position offers a salary in the range of $16.20 to $20.25 per hour (Hourly), based on candidate’s experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process a range of inbound and outbound loads—including Stock Transport Orders, purchase orders, customer shipments, and deposit loads—to improve inventory management.
  • Modify, review, and finalize reports on inventory, schedule incoming and outgoing goods, manage docks, and maintain the yard.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management, various departments, and external associates to validate shipment accuracy, coordinate appointment scheduling, and allocate resources.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders to address any issues noted in logs and reports.
  • Ensure a clean and secure work environment, including tasks such as pallet creation, and perform other management-assigned duties.
  • Fulfill any other obligations as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and SharePoint, with familiarity in warehouse processes and systems.
  • Capability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment, including frequently lifting and walking with objects weighing up to 30 pounds, and handling objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others and to coordinate and organize warehouse operations.
  • Adeptness at interpreting and following computer-displayed instructions, with strong attention to detail in distinguishing products.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment with extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
  • Self-starter with strong leadership potential and flexibility to adjust work hours based on operational demands.
  • Pursuit of a high school diploma or GED.
  • One to three years of related work experience.
  • Opportunity to become certified in operating a Pallet Jack (Powered Industrial Truck) within the first 30 days of employment.
