Position Overview

Key Account Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship management for existing and strategically identified national accounts.
  • Develop and execute account plans and strategies aligned with growing our national partners, while identifying competitive issues, industry trends, and business opportunities.
  • Meet/exceed assigned sales and profitability targets with targeted national accounts.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Delivery, Marketing, and Software Development to implement software systems for accounts.
  • Map key external stakeholders/decision makers and establish stakeholder relationships with national account partners.
  • Support the National Account Manager in developing new opportunities beyond existing relationships.
  • Partner as a collaborative team member with strong project management skills and open internal communication.
  • Work with 3rd party strategic partners to advocate and expand truss design support and whole house integration with national accounts.
  • Serve as the customer advocate and trusted business advisor by handling issues to resolution and marshaling resources including software support and engineering services.
  • Proactively identify customer issues and take corrective actions to ensure satisfaction and timely delivery of Alpine solutions.
  • Analyze customer business processes and recommend solutions to help achieve their goals.
  • Utilize a value-added selling process and effective negotiation skills to close business.
  • Develop targeted sales plans to increase market share on designated product lines.
  • Gain a comprehensive working knowledge of all products, including software and machinery.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Aggressive Growth Mindset and Hunter capabilities
  • Strong sales history, ideally with experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 60% of the time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated cross functional collaboration skills

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite software

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 Yr. Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or Construction Management preferred
  • Knowledge of truss plant operations desired, i.e., software, paper flow, production & plant layout
  • Industry related software is a plus
  • Bilingual abilities is a plus

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: In Illinois, the pay rate will be between $82,000-$109,000 for highly experienced candidates, with the final rate dependent on qualifications, prior experience, and geographic location.
