Job Description

Position Overview

Join the Arizona Game and Fish Department – the state agency dedicated to conserving and protecting over 800 wildlife species – and make a difference in outdoor recreation across Arizona. As a Marketing Project Manager, you will use your project management and marketing expertise to develop and execute innovative campaigns that support conservation, education, and public engagement. In this role, you’ll manage multiple projects from planning through execution while ensuring brand standards and efficient use of resources. Salary: $53,000 - $72,000Location: Phoenix, AZ (5000 W. Carefree Hwy., Phoenix, AZ 85086)

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Lead and manage a portfolio of small- to medium-sized marketing projects and assist with larger initiatives as needed.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure outcomes are met within budget and schedule.
  • Develop and maintain standard work tools, including project request forms, content calendars, and project tracking logs.
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards, promoting efficiency and consistency across all projects.
  • Track project budgets and allocate resources appropriately.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences as required to support project objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience Required: At least three (3) years of experience in marketing, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong project management skills with an understanding of marketing terminology, timelines, and workflows.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in developing content strategies and managing projects from inception through completion.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-divisional teams and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience working with advertising agencies, in-house marketing teams, or within a public-sector organization.
  • Demonstrated success managing marketing projects and familiarity with digital work management platforms.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
