REMOTE F/T OVERNIGHT RN TELEPHONE TRIAGE (NYS LICENSED)

Position Overview

We are looking for qualified Registered Nurses to join our fully remote 24-hour triage center, where we receive incoming calls from contracted clients in need of immediate medical attention. At our center, you will provide assessment, guidance, and disposition to ensure theRight Care, Right Place and Right Timeresponses.Candidates must live within a 2-hour drive to the WNY areaand be prepared to work rotating (4) 10-hour shifts with 3-12's, including rotating weekends and a premium shift differential.

Compensation:Salary range is$68,000-$71,500with anexcellent medical benefits packageand more.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls from contracted clients.
• Assess patients' current health status and recommend the appropriate level of care based on clinical judgment, evidence-based guidelines, and clinical protocols.
• Develop plan(s) of nursing service appropriate to the patients’ healthcare needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications.
• Utilize effective telephone communication skills with proper etiquette.
• Make critical independent decisions and prioritize appropriately.
• Document all calls and actions taken in the patient’s medical record.
• Utilize technology as appropriate to meet job requirements.
• Communicate assessment outcomes to health care team members for appropriate follow-up.
• Display exemplary levels of patience, courtesy, and flexibility.
• Interact with patients, physicians, and staff in a manner that maintains positive relationships and meets agency objectives.
• Adhere to ethical, legal/regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Assume responsibility for personal education and professional development.
• Consult with the administrator for issues or requests outside the scope of practice.
• Maintain attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• New York State Registered Nurse Licensure only.
• Unrestricted New York State Licensed RN with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a clinical hospital nurse in an emergency room, critical care, or med/surg OR a minimum of 2 years’ experience in RN telephone triage in a primary care setting.
• Previous Chronic Care Management / Case Management experience required.
• Previous Chronic Disease Management and Education experience required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Current Infection Control Certificate required.
• Proficiency with advanced computer technology and the ability to use multiple computer applications simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• AAS in Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or related field.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations recommended.
