Position Overview

At Target, working as a General Merchandise Expert means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life while ensuring product availability and an exceptional guest experience. Compensation: Starting at $17.00 USD per hour, with a pay range of $17.00 USD - $25.50 USD per hour.

You will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining product set-up, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency in all General Merchandise areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while performing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and thank them for choosing Target.
• Execute assigned daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing backrooms, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures when certified.
• Carry out processes like pricing adjustments, merchandise set-up, maintenance, and inventory accuracy across all areas.
• Learn and apply operational procedures that affect inventory management, profitability, and product availability.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Support guest services, including acting as a back-up cashier and assisting with digital fulfillment processes.
• Perform additional duties as required by business needs.

• Resolve guest questions promptly while paying close attention to detail and following multi-step processes.
• Handle cash register operations accurately when needed.
• Safely scan, handle, and move merchandise, including frequently lifting up to 44 pounds.
• Be capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other conditions while remaining mobile throughout the shift.
