Registered Nurse – The registered nurse (RN) demonstrates key behaviors in care delivery, leadership, collaboration, and professional growth. In care delivery the RN is responsible for assessing patient status, identifying problems, developing and implementing a plan of care, evaluating care delivery, and promoting patient/family education. Leadership is demonstrated through guiding, directing, teaching, coaching, and motivating others, while collaboration involves effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The RN also continually pursues professional growth through participation in formal and informal continuing education programs and research, all within the framework of the Mission, Vision, and Values of Holy Cross Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care by assessing status, identifying problems, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding, directing, teaching, coaching, and motivating team members.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, quality care.
- Promote patient/family education and participate in multidisciplinary care planning.
- Engage in professional growth through continuing education and research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required: 2 years of Emergency Room Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid IL license
- BLS / ACLS certification
