Job Description

Position Overview

The Trade Compliance Analyst, Americas will support our compliance programs and ensure adherence to international trade laws and regulations in the Americas region. This role is crucial in managing trade documentation, conducting audits, assisting with trade compliance requirements, and contributing directly to our global trade compliance operations. Compensation for this role is $78,300.00 to $89,600.00 USD Annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Duty Drawback and FTA Compliance: Create weekly manufacturing Duty Drawback submissions for US Customs and evaluate Free Trade Agreement (FTA) eligibility for the Americas region, including assessment of product classification (HTS), raw material verification, and issuance of country-of-origin certificates.
  • Audit and Reporting: Prepare and manage regulatory and internal audit reports (including Canada Audit Reports), and monthly/quarterly Import SOX Audits for the NAM and SAMCAM regions. Monitor key metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Database Management: Support the annual HTS review by verifying documentation accuracy and maintaining updated trade compliance databases to ensure efficient compliance checks.
  • Compliance Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating trade compliance policies and procedures to align with current global regulations and business objectives.
  • Cross-functional Training: Support annual Trade Compliance training presentations and facilitate training on Agile processes for raw material approvals and Oracle systems for HTS and Certificate of Origin data entry.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate trade compliance risks by monitoring trade activities, addressing compliance gaps, and collaborating on corrective actions with relevant teams.
  • Record and Membership Management: Maintain essential compliance logs and training records while managing trade compliance memberships, including renewals and processing related fees.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and international trade compliance regulations, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) requirements, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Oracle, and Global Trade Management (GTM) software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.
