Pay: $20-$21

M – F, 7:00a – 4:00p

General Summary

The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department.

Education and Experience

  • Previous HR experience with construction and/or Oil field knowledge is preferred.
  • Has or is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems strongly preferred.

Essential Job Functions

  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Consistently monitor faxes and complete correspondence.
  • Assist walk-ins with online application kiosks and any forms needing completion.
  • Contact vendors for supplies and pickups, when necessary.
    • Maintain inventory of all office supplies (office, kitchen, restroom) and make orders from respective vendors.
    • Order toner and ink for printers/copiers and call for services.
    • Contact shred company to empty paper bins.
  • Review and document employee attendance in HRIS system (Viewpoint).
  • Create or order business cards upon request.
  • Verify accuracy of all forms submitted.
  • Monitor personal info submissions in Employee Portal and approve/reject changes.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) relevant to position.
  • Responsible for completion and accuracy of all tasks.
  • Conducts audits as needed and/or directed.
  • Assist with onboarding process for new hires.
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records with accuracy and timeliness including data entry, scanning and attaching and naming documents correctly.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with management, employees, external agencies and vendors.
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Multi-task, communicate progress in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all companies and customer policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by management.
  • Shall perform all physical and mental requirements listed.
