Position Overview

Designer Wanted for Non-profit in Oakland Chinatown.
Location: Oakland Chinatown

We are looking for graphic designers to join our non-profit organization. If you can design websites and marketing materials and want to make a difference in the heart of Oakland Chinatown, we want you. If you speak Chinese, that’s a plus (both Cantonese and Mandarin are welcome), although it is not mandatory. Become part of our supportive, community-centered team to create the visual language for our community art projects and education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create website elements and marketing materials.
• Develop visual branding for community art projects and education initiatives.
• Optionally participate in art or Chinese language teaching efforts at the center.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio demonstrating website and marketing material design.
• Proficiency with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a community-focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is a plus.
• Experience working with non-profit organizations or community projects.
• Prior teaching experience in art or language is welcomed.
