Sr Analyst, Analytics and Data Science - Stars Program - Remote AZ

Position Overview

This role provides strategic analysis that drives business decisions, improves efficiency and fuels innovation through financial modeling, data extraction, and report production. Please note, this is a remote work opportunity requiring residency within Arizona, with specified onsite requirements based on role classification. The position is full-time (at least 40 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an internal analytics consultant to translate business questions into actionable insights.
• Perform complex analyses and interpret data to recommend effective solutions.
• Develop financial models and self-service business intelligence tools for internal stakeholders.
• Communicate results and recommendations clearly to both internal and external customers.
• Mentor new analysts while sharing industry knowledge and best practices.
• Develop analytical reports, scorecards, and performance dashboards to support corporate strategies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and project managers to define priorities and timelines.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in data analysis using analytic tools and processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer programming (e.g., SAS/SQL) and data visualization tools, such as Tableau.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working for a healthcare organization or health insurer, with relevant development experience.
• 2 years of experience in Medicare Advantage, HEDIS and/or CMS Stars.
• Master’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field.
• Experience with data warehouses, query tools, and development and management of Tableau dashboards.
• Project management skills to create timelines, track progress, and resolve issues.
