Position Overview
Location: In person
Salary: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour
Schedule: 40 per week
This is an onsite position in New Orleans. Job Type:
Full-time. This individual is responsible for product quality testing, food safety coordination, food safety and quality administration, and document control. Additionally, they assist in executing the Director’s vision to accomplish both departmental and company objectives. The work environment is divided between a climate-controlled office and a non-climate-controlled warehouse where high noise levels require hearing protection in certain areas. Routine travel between our two manufacturing plants in New Orleans is expected.Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality testing (grading, cooking, collecting retains) daily.
- Collect, review, and file daily production and quality paperwork.
- Receive consumer calls and report to the Director regarding consumer complaints.
- Forward consumer complaint emails to the Director.
- Perform the replacement beans process.
- Check pest control measures (baits, effectiveness, coordination with third-party DA agents) and provide updates to the Director/senior management.
- Perform monthly site audits.
- Collect finished product samples and conduct cooking tests for inbound lots.
- Participate in quality team meetings.
- Manage document registration and changes in R: Drive files (temporarily).
- Manage Internal Audit (IA) scheduling, frequency updates, and reminders (temporarily).
- Review forms and procedures assigned by the Director.
- Participate in and maintain records of company training weekly.
- Monitor training effectiveness, reinforce GMP rules, and educate floor employees.
- Assist with employee safety tasks.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing facilities.
- Knowledge or experience of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and laboratory testing.
- Ability to work on a computer using MS Office products or other software.
- Working knowledge of operational procedures and SOPs.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
