Position Overview

As a Telecommunication Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the entire design process—from preliminary assessments and concept creation to design, problem resolution, and specification production. This position is open to candidates at ANY location in the United States, with a preference for those near a Jacobs U.S. office, and involves close collaboration with clients in the Data Center market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in preliminary assessments, concept creation, and design development.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and resolve design challenges.
  • Conduct site visits, review technical documents, and engage in customer communications.
  • Integrate Owner-specific installation requirements with site-specific applications.
  • Collaborate with Department Managers, Lead Engineers, and cross-disciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical or Associates Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 4+ years of experience designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings.
  • Familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
  • Experience with Revit software.
  • Self-motivation to coordinate with diverse teams and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Credentials as an RCDD or progress toward obtaining this title.
  • Electrical Engineering degree or a related discipline.
