Position Overview
The Performance Marketing Manager at Chainguard, located in Buffalo, NY, is a results-driven, analytical, and creative professional responsible for owning paid acquisition and performance programs end-to-end. You’ll test aggressively, optimize constantly, and scale what works across channels such as search, social, display, and third-party sponsorships to drive measurable pipeline in a high-velocity environment.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $111,000 - $130,000 USD
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, launch, and optimize performance campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, and Display; own channel strategy, execution, and iteration.
- Leverage buyer intent and first/third-party signals to sharpen targeting, improve conversion efficiency, and inform budget allocation.
- Manage third-party sponsorships end-to-end: evaluate opportunities, negotiate, brief, launch, and report, activating our ICP across high-signal publications and communities.
- Partner with Integrated Campaigns to integrate paid channels into cross-channel motions that build the brand and drive qualified pipeline.
- Build and run account-based marketing (ABM) programs with regional marketing and Sales to engage and accelerate key accounts.
- Analyze performance, attribution, and full-funnel metrics to uncover insights, prioritize experiments, and guide growth decisions.
- Design and execute A/B tests across creative, copy, audiences, bidding, and landing pages; scale winners and retire underperformers.
- Collaborate with Content/Creative teams to produce on-brand, high-performing ad assets and landing experiences that convert.
- Own forecasting and pacing; allocate budgets across channels and campaigns to maximize ROI while hitting growth targets.
- Partner with Analytics to build dashboards and reporting that communicate performance, insights, and next steps to stakeholders.
- Identify new growth levers including channels, partnerships, formats, and ad tech; pilot thoughtfully and scale effective tactics.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in performance marketing or digital acquisition with a track record of delivering measurable ROI.
- Strong analytical skills with comfort in data, experimentation, dashboards, and multi-touch attribution.
- Hands-on expertise across major ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube) and associated tools.
- Experience using intent data for targeting, segmentation, and budget optimization; proficiency in A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
- Curiosity and practical experience leveraging AI to plan, launch, and optimize campaigns faster and smarter.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to synthesize complex results for executives and collaborate cross-functionally.
- A bias for action with a rapid experimentation mindset in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
