This role focuses on electrical engineering in building and infrastructure projects, melding innovative design with technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, and grounding for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination, load, and arc flash studies.
- Conduct lighting photometric calculations using AGI.
- Assign circuitry for power and lighting devices.
- Prepare technical reports and electrical calculations.
- Work on projects using Revit MEP and SKM Power Tools.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and vendors to enhance project outcomes.
- Attend meetings, ask questions, and engage in discussions with architects and other disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the electrical engineering industry with an emphasis on power distribution in buildings and infrastructure.
- Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to take independent initiative, solve problems creatively, and work collaboratively in a team.
- Proven capability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills across various levels.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- EIT/FE certification.
- Coursework in building systems design, electrical power systems, control systems, electric machines, and relevant codes and standards.
- Internship experience in a consulting firm focused on building electrical power system design.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability through extracurricular activities.
- Academic or practical experience with alternative energy systems and emerging construction technologies.
- Experience with Revit MEP, AGI 32, and SKM Power Tools.
- Familiarity with automation or machine learning technologies.
- Proven ability to perform well under deadline pressure.
- Evidence of teamwork and leadership, such as professional accomplishments or honors.

- Compensation: Los Angeles Hiring Range of $74,000 to $81,500 per year (commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level; benefits are in addition to base salary).
