Self-taught & hobbyists - Junior Software Engineers (Global/Remote)

Position Overview

At MixRank, we create B2B SaaS products that empower sales, marketing, finance, and business intelligence teams with vital data and insights on mobile apps, websites, technographics, companies, and decision makers. Our platform enables sales reps to build prospect lists, prioritize leads, and contact key decision-makers with remarkable speed.
We’re looking for remote engineers – no degree required; self-taught individuals and hobbyists are welcome! This entry-level role offers mentorship and the chance to work across all areas of our product: databases, distributed systems, infrastructure & tooling, data analysis, machine learning, as well as frontend and backend web development, APIs, data mining, and data modeling. You’ll be contributing from day one in a fast-paced environment with multiple production deployments daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our codebase usingPython, SQL, andJavaScript/TypeScript.
• Contribute to product areas including databases, distributed systems, infrastructure & tooling, data analysis, machine learning, and web development (both frontend and backend).
• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment with multiple production deployments per day (completing in under 2 minutes).
• Utilize a fully automated development setup that gets you started within hours.
• Engage with and support a globally distributed team across 15+ countries.

Required Qualifications

• A strong passion for programming – whether through formal education or self-driven, hobbyist projects.
• Familiarity with or willingness to quickly learnPython,PostgreSQL,Linux, andGit.
• Comfort and effectiveness in a fully remote work environment.
• Readiness to contribute from day one in a dynamic, continuously deploying codebase.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to open-source projects or collaborative coding environments.
• Exposure to full-stack development and a diverse technology stack.
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks and industry best practices.
