Position Overview

Join a team of proud, passionate, and caring people at PGA of America. In this role, you will oversee the design, management, implementation, and marketing of the organization’s digital efforts across member digital properties including PGA.org, member email marketing, and social media. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to drive innovative content strategies that engage our members and grow the game of golf—all within a supportive, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage content plans for member digital properties including the PGA.org editorial calendar, member email calendar, content audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team and Marketing leaders to develop a streamlined mass communications strategy for PGA of America Golf Professionals, making data-based adjustments as needed.
  • Oversee the strategy, creation, and execution of all member emails.
  • Work with the Section Business Operations team to align departmental priorities and provide localization templates for PGA Sections.
  • Serve as the point person for PGA.org content by designing, writing, and editing website materials and the weekly member newsletter with monthly performance updates.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including Technology, Marketing, and external vendors—to enhance content strategy and user experience.
  • Oversee content development for PGA Magazine and its supporting emails.
  • Maintain daily communication with multiple PGA departments for content updates and troubleshooting on PGA.org.
  • Assist with content creation and execution for the PGA Annual Meeting, brand campaigns at PGA Consumer Championships, and year-round initiatives.
  • Develop and curate member-related content for PGA social media channels including X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of experience in content development, including writing, editing, and online production.
  • Proven experience managing content plans and editorial calendars.
  • Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and graphic software applications.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to create engaging web-based marketing content.
  • In-depth understanding of English grammar, usage, punctuation, and industry knowledge in golf.
  • Ability to analyze website traffic and performance metrics to adjust content strategies accordingly.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and a basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 15%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amplitude, Intercom, Google Analytics, and MailChimp.
  • Experience articulating creative intent and organizing teams to bring ideas to life.
