Job Description
Position Overview
The Marketing Event Coordinator I (EC. I) works under the supervision of the Community Relations Manager to operate efficiently and effectively in a deadline‐driven environment and provide day-to-day support to the marketing team. The primary focus of this position is to generate awareness of Gonzaba Medical Group services and providers through event planning and community outreach events to achieve the growth and retention goals of the Marketing Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain supportive, productive, and effective relationships with external and internal partners.
- Participate in promotional activities, trade shows, and health fairs to promote Gonzaba Medical Group services and providers.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency preferred.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team including printing, flyer production, answering phones, data entry, and updating the events calendar.
- Effectively tell the Gonzaba Medical Group story and articulate key differentiators from competitors.
- Identify event opportunities with the Medicare-eligible population to promote the healthcare delivery system and support growth for Medicare Care patients/prospects in line with accepted Medicare Advantage plans.
- Coordinate external and internal events by:
- Scheduling events and researching potential venues (e.g. ballrooms, commercial stores, churches, etc.).
- Managing all aspects of event planning, including ordering giveaways, decorations, supplies, audio, entertainment, layout, advertisement, and flyer distribution.
- Securing venues, maintaining event budgets, setting up and breaking down events (including lifting up to 60 pounds), and logging attendance in SalesForce.
- Maintain effective time management and work well with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
- Build knowledge of CMS regulations related to marketing events and clinical settings.
- Support all marketing initiatives by sharing best practices, staying current with industry trends, and identifying lead patients/prospects.
- Work on weekends and occasional evenings as required.
- Properly drive and operate a company or personal vehicle (subject to a motor vehicle history check, possession of a current valid Texas Driver License, and proof of insurance for mileage reimbursement).
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience in marketing or a similar role.
- General computer knowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMS guidelines.
- Experience in a healthcare-related field.
