Proposal & Marketing Communications Associate

Position Overview

As the Proposal & Marketing Communications Associate at Chandler Asset Management, you will support the firm’s marketing and sales initiatives by managing the full Request for Proposal (RFP) process and developing impactful marketing communications. Reporting within an employee-owned, independent financial services company managing over $35 billion in assets, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, drive timely proposal submissions, and contribute to the creation of branded materials and communication campaigns. This hybrid role is based out of our San Diego, CA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full RFP process from inception to final submission.
• Prepare timely, accurate, and concise proposals using Responsive proposal writing software.
• Project manage the time-constrained RFP process to ensure proposals are complete, thoroughly proofed, and meet all deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to develop compelling marketing communications including presentations, brochures, and web content.
• Conduct market research, including competitive analysis and win/loss reviews, to strengthen the firm’s brand.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or Public Relations.
• 2+ years’ experience in proposal writing.
• Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services industry experience.
• Experience managing a response database using Responsive or similar proposal writing software.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce.
