Data Scientist, Ecommerce - USDS

Position Overview

Join our e-commerce ecosystem team at TikTok, where passionate and talented individuals drive innovative product and operations initiatives in a rapidly growing market. Our organization follows a hybrid work schedule requiring employees to work in the office 3 days a week (or as directed by your manager), with the model reviewed regularly.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex datasets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
• Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and presentation of data to develop strategies for our E-commerce product.
• Identify and measure the success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
• Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, driving roadmaps through insights and recommendations.
• Develop data pipelines and dashboards to enhance data infrastructure.
• Develop ML models to identify potential creators and measure the lifetime value (LTV) of users.
• Cooperate with PM, Operations, R&D, and other cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy as well as investment decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above; majoring in mathematics, statistics, or computer science is preferred.
• Proficient in SQL and Tableau; familiar with Python or R for modeling projects.
• 3+ years of working experience in data science and machine learning.
• Self-driven and capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• E-Commerce experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present data analysis results to stakeholders, driving business impact.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136,800 - $228,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is part of a Total Package that may include additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.
