QuickBooks Cleanup Project – Q3-Q4 2024 Books (Cooperative/Nonprofit)

Position Overview

This is a short-term contract opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to execute a one-time cleanup project for our community-focused Cooperative. You will prepare the Q3–Q4 2025 books in QuickBooks Online to be CPA-ready by February 2026. The role is remote with an estimated total of 10–15 hours, and candidates from the San Francisco Bay Area—especially Oakland, CA—are prioritized. There is potential for ongoing quarterly bookkeeping work beyond this project.

Key Responsibilities

• Import and categorize Q3–Q4 2025 transactions (July–December) in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile all bank accounts for the 6-month period.
• Prepare and record all necessary journal entries.
• Ensure that all records are accurate and ready for CPA review.
• Provide clean financial statements for Q3 and Q4.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including bank feeds and reconciliation.
• Experience with cleanup projects and preparing books for CPAs.
• Nonprofit or cooperative accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience cleaning up books for year-end or CPA preparation.
• Familiarity with 501(c)(3) nonprofit accounting.
• Experience working with cooperatives or community organizations.
• Proven track record of efficient, accurate cleanup work.

Benefits & Perks

• Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
