Technical Motion Designer

Position Overview

Newfangled Studios, a Creative Production Agency crafting social-first, digitally native campaigns for renowned brands, is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Motion Designer to join our animation team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with artists and directors to create world-class video and animation that aligns with our core values: Creativity and Innovation, Business Results, Respect & Inclusion, and Forward Progress.

Location: Remote, Boston, Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities

• Animate short-form content for larger campaigns (e.g., Instagram stories, Snapchat ads).
• Retime, reformat, and version existing assets for various social media platforms.
• Collaborate with designers and directors to bring storyboards to life through animation.
• Deliver projects on time, meeting both internal and external deadlines.
• Assist Senior Animators with larger animation projects as needed.
• Implement feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain organized project files for seamless collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Solid understanding of After Effects with a focus on motion graphics animation.
• Passion for creative growth and continuous learning.
• Strong grasp of animation principles and timing.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to follow established animation styles with guidance.
• Receptive to feedback and constructive criticism.
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
• At least one year of experience in the motion graphics industry.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada.
